Attending ICPA Orlando 2025 was an incredible experience. From insightful sessions to reconnecting with fellow trade professionals, I walked away with fresh perspectives and a renewed appreciation for the ever-evolving world of compliance.
The conference was packed with valuable discussions on import, export, supply chain, and regulatory updates. There was something to learn from each educational track, which sparked new ideas on how to approach trade compliance challenges. Pete Mento speaking on the impact of the global economy on trade was a can’t miss talk. Another can’t miss event was the Legal Eagles panel moderated by George Tuttle. This panel was a great way to listen and learn about real world problems being faced.
Beyond the sessions, networking was a highlight. Meeting industry peers, exchanging ideas, connecting with old friends and colleagues, and sharing real-world experiences reminded me why I love this field. Whether over coffee between sessions or at the opening reception, these conversations were just as valuable as the content itself.
With trade policy changing faster than ever, having a strong professional network is invaluable. Compliance isn’t just about keeping up with regulations, it’s about having a community to navigate uncertainty together. ICPA provides that space, offering a trusted forum to discuss challenges, share solutions, and stay ahead of what’s coming next.
One thing that really stood out was ICPA’s commitment to support working parents by offering Kidz Kamp. It was amazing to see an event prioritize family-friendly options, allowing parents to focus on continued education without the stress of finding childcare. This kind of initiative makes such a difference, ensuring that professional development is accessible to everyone.
ICPA continues to be the place to connect, learn, and stay ahead in the compliance world. I left feeling energized, with new insights toapply and relationships that will continue beyond the event. Looking forward to next year already!
